Dressage at Lexington

Daily News

Daily News and Announcements

Welcome Competitors to Dressage at Lexington!  It's going to be a big showLast year during COVID, it was one of the first dressage shows held in Virginia and we had a good turnout, considering all the COVID fears and restrictions. This year, we are OPEN, with over 900 rides scheduled, this is the VADA’s largest DAL yet and it’s all thanks to our competitors!

Saturday News...

Meet and Greet Competitor Social and Show Treats

  • VADA is hosting a "Meet and Greet Competitor Social" at the Awards/Competitor Hospitality Tent (Cashvan) on Saturday evening (around 6:30 p.m.) in conjunction with the Grand Prix in the Wiley arena. There will be hors d'ouevres and wine. Come down, minge, do a little shopping, and watch GP.
  • A breakfast cart with coffee, other drinks, and pastries will be in the barn area from 6:30 to 8:00 every morning.
  • Refuel yourself with Ice Cream, Lemonade, and Cookies at the Awards/Competitor Hospitality Tent (Cashvan) throughout the show.

As a reminder to all competitors...

  • We will be following CDC and Commonwealth of Virginia COVID-19 guidelines. Please wear masks if unvaccinated and practice social distancing with people not familiar to you. Please be respectful. We do ask that you wear a mask if you come to the show office area, particularly if unvaccinated. We want everyone to be safe while enjoying the show.
  • Competitor Packets can be picked up at the Show Office between the hours of Thursday, 11:00 a.m.-5:00 pm. and throughout the show in accordance with office hours.
  • The Show Office will be open at 7:00 a.m. and close one hour after the finish of the last class starting on Friday. Please be respectful and wear a face mask in the Show Office.
  • Need to scratch a class, additions, or any class changes, no need to go to the Show Office, call/text Bettina Longaker at 540-222-5850.
  • The Awards and Competitor Hospitality Tent has relocated to the Cashvan outside.  Please remember to have Class # to pick up your test.  Don't remember your class number, look it up by using the DAL QR card.   Please be mindful of others coming to pick up tests and have your class number for it's a big show and riders are anxious to receive their test.  We're trying to avoid long lines in the heat!
  • This year we have a photoshoot area set up across from the Awards area... save those memories with your horse!  Unfortunately, we don't have a photographer in the area so riders are responsible for taking their own pictures.
  • Like to share your pictures and posted on the VADA website, forward them in jpg format to [email protected]
